Importing Existing Verge.IO VMs

1

Adding Your Verge.IO Credentials

Before importing VMs, you need to connect Cloud Manager to your Verge.IO environment.

  1. Once in Cloud Manager, click on Credentials tab and then click on New to add a new set of credentials.

  2. Fill in the Name and Description fields, then select VergeIO from the Provider dropdown.

  3. Complete the following form:

Option
Description

Server

The IP address of your Verge.IO server.

Allow Insecure SSL

Activate this option if your environment lacks a valid security certificate.

Use OIDC Authentication

Enables authentication to Verge.IO using secure tokens from an identity provider, rather than a static password or API key. Selecting this option will enable a new set of options related to OIDC (Issuer URL, Client ID, Client Secret, Scope, Access Token and Refresh Token).

Username /Password

Enter a set of valid Verge.IO environment user and password.

Import Existing VMs

Once authenticated, you can start importing your VMs:

  1. Click on Add to start the Wizard and select Managed VMs. This indicates Cloud Manager that you want to manage already existing VMs instead of creating new ones.

  2. Choose the Verge.IO credentials saved in the previous step.

  3. In the Instance Pattern field, enter a name pattern (e.g., app-server-*) to filter which VMs to import, or leave the field blank to import all of them.

The provider-specific steps for importing Verge.IO VMs end here. The rest of the configurations in the wizard are universal.
